VFW Post 1302 Sponsors Motorcycle Run In Kearny In Memory Of Staff Sgt. Edward Karolasz

Kearny, NJ – On July 11, 2015 Mayor Alberto G. Santos, Councilwoman Marytrine De Castro and Councilman Albino Cardoso attended the 1st Annual Motorcycle Run and Pig Roast.

Hosted by Wilson-Gugelman VFW Post 1302 held in memory of SSG Edward Karolasz, lifelong resident of Kearny killed in action on November 19, 2005 during Operation Iraqi Freedom, while serving in the Army, 1st Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, KY.  The event culminated in a ceremony held at the VFW 1302 recognizing Staff Sergeant Edward Karolasz’s service to his country and for making the ultimate sacrifice while fighting for freedom.  His family including his sister and mother were there to remember SSG Edward Karolasz and to honor his sacrifice.
