Kearny, N.J. (March 9, 2017) – Mayor Alberto G. Santos announced today that the Town of Kearny Sesquicentennial Committee will offer residents and local businesses the opportunity to participate in the banner sponsorship program to commemorate the sesquicentennial anniversary.
The Mayor and Town Council of Kearny and the Kearny Recreation Commission will hold a Public Meeting for Final project design review of the Gunnell Oval Recreational Complex Redevelopment project at the Town of Kearny Town Hall Council Chambers, 402 Kearny Avenue, Kearny, New Jersey at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, February 15, 2017.
On Thursday, December 1, 2016 residents celebrated at the Annual Kearny UEZ Tree Lighting Festival outside Town Hall on Kearny Avenue. The festival has become a popular town-wide tradition and the kickoff of the holiday season in Kearny. The evening began at 5:30 p.m. with a concert on the steps of Town Hall featuring performances by the Kearny High School Ensemble, a choir ensemble of 6th graders from all of the Kearny Public Schools and members of the Next Step Dance Company.
The Kearny Recreation Department and Mrs. Desiree Mills celebrated the conclusion of the Fall 2016 Art Class with an Art Gallery at the Kearny Public Library to celebrate all students hard work.
