Kearny Recreation Little League Baseball Celebrates Opening Day

Kearny Welcomes Newest Firefighters

Kearny, NJ – On Tuesday, March 22, 2016, Kearny Mayor Alberto G. Santos and the Kearny Town Council held a swearing-in ceremony at Town Hall for eighteen newly hired firefighters of the Kearny Fire Department.  Mayor Santos administered the oaths and Kearny Fire Chief Steve Dyl presented each new firefighter his fire badge.

On Sunday, March 13, 2016, the Town of Kearny celebrated St. Patrick’s Day by participating in the 43rd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade organized by the United Irish Associations of West Hudson.  The Parade began in Harrison and traveled along Frank E. Rodgers Boulevard in Harrison, Central Avenue in East Newark and Kearny Avenue in Kearny, with a closing ceremony at Kearny Town Hall.
